Use A Cheap Electric Scooter To Get Around Town

Many adults and children alike enjoy getting out of the house, exploring their town and so on. Using a car to do this, however, can be wasteful. Firstly, because of unecessary gas use and secondly, because of carbon emissions. Also, you miss so much of the beautiful scenery when driving at the speed that a car or other automobile runs. There is another alternative, however, that allows you to explore further away from home than walking allows but doesn't tire you out like biking. It also doesn't waste resources like driving. What I'm talking about is traveling by electric scooter. If you don't think that an electric scooter is in your budget, then you are mistaken. With a bit of research, you can find a cheap electric scooter that fits right into your budget.

The first thing that you need to determine is exactly how much you are going to be using your electric scooter on a daily basis. If you plan on using your scooter to explore your neighborhood and surrounding areas, then you can choose a lower end model, such as Razor electric scooters. These scooters are inexpensive and have options both with or without a seat. They typically do not go any faster than ten miles per hour, which means they are not made for highway travel. Some are designed for roads and sidewalks while others are even durable enough for uneven terrain such as dirt and grass.

If you want something that can go further and faster, then you will want a more expensive option, such as the X-Treme XB-500 Electric Bicycle. While this is much more expensive than a Razor type electric scooter (around $800) it is designed to get you further, faster. It is important to note, however, that it has a 20 mile max charge on the battery, meaning that you will either want to upgrade the battery or do no more than 15-20 miles of travel before charging it again.

If you don't want a cheap electric scooter, you can find scooters, such as the Vetrix that offers you a lot more power and possibilities for traveling. The Vetrix travels at up to 62 mph and will last for 60 miles before needing a charge. It will charge to full power in about two hours, which is perfect for work traveling. With a price tag of about $8,000, this sleek scooter offers an excellent choice for those who want a powerful scooter.

Whether you want a two wheel stand up electric scooter or you want a 3 wheel electric mobility scooter, you are sure to find one in the price range that you are looking for. While electric scooters don't yet have the charge capacity to replace automobiles, this technology is still developing and you will soon find that this affordable (and very green option) will grow even more popular in the future.
